Preview:
Justin Upton is making his return to Arizona. The Braves slugger, who was traded by the D-Backs to the Braves this past offseason, makes his anticipated return to Chase Field on Monday for the first time as a visitor when the Braves and D-Backs begin a three-game series.
Upton's tenure in Arizona was full of highs, as well as lows, but with trade rumors swirling around Upton and the D-Backs regarding where he may end up and why the franchise would trade a player of his caliber, Upton and Chris Johnson were dealt to the Braves for Martin Prado, Randall Delgado, and three other highly talented prospects.
The trade has worked out for both teams to this point, with Upton -- leading the Majors in home runs with 12 -- has the Braves atop the NL East through 37 games. The D-Backs are 2nd in the NL West, 2 games back of the Giants. Tonight will also mark the first time that Martin Prado will face his former ball club in the Braves.

Mike Minor takes mound:
Braves LHP takes the mound tonight in hopes of snapping the team's three-game losing streak. Minor is also in search for his 5th win of 2013. In his previous start against the Reds last Wednesday, Minor was brilliant by allowing only a run on four hits, walked three, and struck out seven over seven innings as the Braves won the game 7-2 and took 2 of 3 from the Reds, who lost their first home series of the season.

Wade Miley rebounding nicely:
D-Backs LHP Wade Miley looks to turn in another strong outing as he did in his last start against the Dodgers at Dodger Stadium. Miley allowed two runs on seven hits and struck out four over 7 2/3 innings as he earned his third win of the season. Prior to that start against the Dodgers, Miley struggled against the Padres, giving up four runs on nine hits, walked three, and struck out four over five innings in the loss.

Side note:
In Mike Minor's lone start against Arizona, he allowed two runs (one earned) in eight innings while striking out nine to earn the win.
Wade Miley's only start against the Braves came on August 20, 2011, his Major League debut. Miley surrendered five runs on seven hits, walked two, and struck out five in four innings as he and the D-Backs took the loss, 8-1. He owns a 12.71 ERA in his career against Atlanta.
Chris Johnson has been ice-cold as of late, going hitless in his last 18 at-bats.
