Preview:
The Braves and Nationals revamped their rivalry in a huge way last night. Nats took an early 4-0 after the first 2 innings off Julio Teheran. Braves got on the board in the 7th on a Chris Johnson solo home run. Braves proceeded to score 1 in the 8th, 2 in the 9th to tie the game 4-4, and Ramiro Pena untied it with a clutch 2-run homer in the 10th inning to give the Braves a 6-4 lead. Kimbrel shut it down in the bottom of the inning to record his 5th save of the season. Braves enter today's game on a 7-game winning streak and are looking to win their 4th series in a row. Tim Hudson takes the mound today with hopes of doing so.

In his 2nd start last Sunday, Hudson held the Cubs to a run over 6 2/3 innings en route to his first win of the season. In his career against the Nationals/Expos franchise, Hudson has made 26 starts going 14-5 with an ERA of 2.65. But he struggled mightily against the Nationals in 2012, going 0-2 while posting a 7.71 ERA. Hudson will need to come with his ace stuff today, as he'll be opposing Nationals ace, Stephen Strasburg.

Strasburg struggled in his last start vs. Reds, giving up 9 hits, 4 walks, and 6 runs in 5 1/3 innings. It was the 3rd time in his career that Strasburg allowed 6 runs or more in a start. In his 7 starts against the Braves in his career, Strasburg is 3-3 with a 4.17 ERA. Braves bats have hit Strasburg well lately and look to continue the trend.
