Preview:
After being snowed out yesterday, the Braves and Rockies will play in a day-night doubleheader with the first pitch of game 1 at 3:10 ET and game 2 starting approximately at 8:40 pm ET. Mike Minor looks to halt the Braves 3-game skid. Opposing Minor will be veteran lefty Jeff Francis. The red-hot Rockies come in as winners of eight of their last nine ball games and are tied with the Braves for the best record in baseball.

Freddie Freeman in lineup:
As expected, Freddie Freeman was activated from the 15-day disabled list yesterday and will be hitting cleanup in today's lineup. In the thirteen games in which Freeman missed due to a strained right oblique, the braves went 9-4, with three of those loss coming this past weekend in Pittsburgh. Chris Johnson is assumed to be the primary third basemen with Freeman back in the lineup. Johnson comes into play today leading the NL in hitting (.407 avg).

Jason Heyward to DL, Pastornicky called up:
Jason Heyward underwent an emergency appendectomy last night and will be put on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to Sunday. The earliest he would be activated is on May 5th. Tyler Pastornicky has been called up from AAA Gwinnett to take Heyward's roster spot. Reed Johnson will start in RF in the first game of the doubleheader.
